I'm branching out from being "just a mom" to learning who I really am. For so many years, my number one job took over my whole essence. I'm not in any way complaining about that, I love being a mom and love being a grandma even more but I also have to learn to be me. Writing has always been a part of me but now I am making it a priority.

Christian rock and upbeat praise, country, classic rock. I love almost all music except that nasty stuff they call rap. I Love Casting Crowns, Kenny Chesney, Craig Morgan, Taylor Swift, Alan Jackson, Jimmy Buffet, Queen, I have a wide range of tastes from the 50's to now.

Max Lucado, Bodie and Brock Theone, Ted Dekker, Stephen King, I love mystery, suspense, historical and Christian
Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres:

Comedy, Drama, Mystery, Suspense, Family, Chick Flick I think my favorite two movies are "50 first dates" and Sweet Home Alabama" But I also loved Hook, Troy, all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, all of the Santa Clause movies. I am a sucker for a good Christmas movie.

NCIS, CSI, CSI Miami, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds, Amazing Race, Jericho (and I'm still mad because they cancelled it!)

I've been trying to weed out non-freewrites from DailyFreeWrite. Maybe I've let one slip by me? I know who you are referring to. Yeah, his poems are not freewrites.

One clue, for me, as to whether something is a freewrite is to look where the piece has been published. If there are dozens of groups, I figure the person just did a mass-publishing and didn't care one whit whether his/her piece was appropriate to the group or not.

Those I dump with alacrity!

Hi Janice, regarding your story that you posted to freewrite, I think it would work better for you to go to that first freewrite that prompted the story and link us there to your story. Since it's not actually a freewrite, I'm going to take it off of the DailyFreeWrite posts. Sorry about that, but I feel strongly that the group needs to remain focused on freewrites only.

If you ever notice a post to DailyFreeWrite that you think isn't in fact a freewrite, please let me know. :-)

I noticed that you are also a member at Gather Writing Essentials. Post your story there on Wednesday and I'll accept it for the group. :-) I only moderate Gather Writing Essentials on Wednesday, hence the stipulation.
